New Opportunities to Grow In Faith

I hope everyone has had a great week up to now and you are ready to enjoy the start of a brand new week as we celebrate the Lord’s day tomorrow. What a beautiful day it turned out to be today after the early morning clouds and rain. The beauty of God’s creation is beginning to emerge as Spring is just around the corner. What a special time of the year this is. Everything in creation is coming back to life which serves as a reminder to all of us of the resurrection of our Lord. The final chapter of the gospel story. To God be the glory!

This has been a wonderful day for me for me for another reason. I had the privilege of meeting with a group of men this morning who love Jesus and have a real hunger for God’s word. This first meeting was spent sharing with each other how we came to faith in Christ and how God has directed our lives since that time. What an encouragement it was for me to hear the story of each man as they shared. I am so looking forward to our next meeting as we will begin a study of the gospel of John. There is no doubt in my mind that God is about to do a new work in each of us to continue bringing us to completion of the work He began in us at the time we were saved. What a wonderful way to help me to finish strong.

Bob Moore and I would love to have more guys join us as we study God’s word together and share our hearts with each other. This is one of the best way’s I know to apply the principle of “iron sharpening iron” and therefore grow in our faith. We are meeting on Saturday mornings in the 1120 Building at Keller Hospital from 7:30 to 8:30 AM and we are so thankful to the hospital administration for allowing us to do so. Join us this coming Saturday as we start the new study and as we discuss plans for some other ministry opportunities we can be involved in. I know you will be blessed.

I haven’t decided on a new topic for discussion in our weekly post yet but I do have a few ideas. I will settle on something very soon but I’ll let God lead and I will follow. If you have any suggestions please let me know. I will be more than happy to do any research needed to come to a reasonable conclusion on the topic.

May God richly bless each of you this coming week. If I can be of any assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.

David
