Well good evening everyone. I want to wish all of you a very happy and productive 2017. I know it’s been a while since delivering a post but I wanted to give everyone a break for the holidays. If you were like me, you were extremely busy and found it hard to make much time for anything but the holidays.
I hope you enjoyed the series on the history of some of the great hymns of the faith and then the same for a few of the wonderful traditional Christmas carols. It was certainly a good learning experience for me and made me appreciate them all the more. As always, God has used and is still using so many ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things for His glory.
I’m not sure what topics I will bring to the table this year but I’m sure God has something for me to share. If you have any suggestions as to what you would have an interest in please let me know. I love doing the research and study and I always benefit more than anyone else from the effort because God uses it to speak to me. The sad thing is that most of the time it’s in the form of conviction for failures on my part. But hopefully it always ends in spiritual growth.
For those of you who don’t know, God has given me the opportunity to resume activities with a men’s quartet and we have been working hard for the past 3 months preparing ourselves for what He wants to do. All of us feel He has called us to this ministry in addition to our service to our own local church so we are waiting on Him. We would appreciate it if each of you would remember us in your prayers and pray that we will do only what He leads us to do and not let our flesh get in the way. I have attached a short bio of the group and about what we feel our mission is that He has called us to. Just lick on the following link to read. Reassurance
We would like to thank Kirk Bishop for allowing us to use the sanctuary at Westside Baptist Church a few weeks ago to hold a practice session there to adjust our sound system equipment. He was the first to host our group before we had a name and while we were still a trio. It helped us to be certain that God was calling us to this. So, thank you Kirk!
God bless each of you and have a great day in the Lord.
