Good evening to all. Today has not been just another day for me. It has been a day of reflecting back over the last 45 years and being reminded of how blessed I am to have been married to my wonderful wife for so many years. It seems like only yesterday that I came out of my high school locker room after football practice and saw her standing there. I remember very well what she was wearing and how I thought she was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. And the truth of the matter is that she still is!
I hope all of you had a great week and are looking forward to being in the Lord’s house with God’s people tomorrow. I know I am. Especially after being away on vacation and missing the last two Sundays. I need a fresh touch of His hand on my life and a fresh word from His word.
I think I’m about ready to start the new series on issues in today’s church. I have been working on what I consider one of the major issues if not the greatest one facing the local church. As a matter of fact, it is probably the biggest reason for so many churches closing its doors in the past few years. And it is so basic and simple. But you will have to wait until next week to find out what it is.
There is a lot going on in our world today that is so far removed from what I believe God desires. Sometimes I wonder why He continues to tarry. But I’m beginning to be like John in the Revelation. So I say like John, “Come Lord Jesus!” Amen and amen.
God bless each of you.
